RIVALDO CHASING MOVE TO LIVERPOOL

According to reports in Brazil, Rivaldo has lost patience with the lack of first team football at Milan and contacted Liverpool.

The World Cup winner had agreed to tear up his contract last month, but was convinced to stay on at the San Siro until January.

The situation has not improved and the explosion of youngster Kaka’ has pushed Rivaldo further down the pecking order.

Brazilian news agency Estado now claims that Rivaldo’s family admitted a New Year switch to the Premiership is on the cards.

There are reportedly five offers on the table for the man who currently earns £4m per season.

Tottenham and Liverpool promise a new experience in England, Valencia and Deportivo La Coruna would welcome him back to Spain, while financially a move to Qatar is the most enticing.

Sending Rivaldo off to Liverpool would also be a good move for Milan, who could then draft in another Brazilian to take his place.

This week Rossoneri director Ariedo Braida was spotted in South America for talks with both Santos star Renato’s agent and Luis Fabiano of Sao Paolo.

“Milan scouts have been watching Luis Fabiano in training and during a match,” revealed Sao Paolo President Marcelo Gouvea, “but he is also of interest to Inter and Manchester United.”
